Who is my therapist?

My name is Junior Henry, founder of Therapy Life Skills. My qualifications include BSc (Hons) Integrative Counselling (Roehampton University) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (City Literary Institute) Humanistic, Psychodynamic (Birkbeck University) Diploma in Life Coaching (Online Course). Myself or another qualified therapist who matches your needs will be working with you..

Next steps...
Therapists begin by learning more about you and the problems you’re facing. You begin by looking at your issues and going over your personal history and general background. You and your therapist work together to create tailored treatments to address your unique needs and concerns.
During therapy...
Establish a safe space in which to look inward, reflect, and challenge yourself. Identify the sources of stress, pain, resentment, frustration etc. Your therapist will offer concrete skills to help you manage mental health issues. Your therapist will employ evidence-based techniques and interventions, often challenging you to question your behaviour or take a different perspective.
How can I get the most out of therapy?
Identify your goals, write them down, and let your therapist know. Be honest with your therapist about what you’re thinking and feeling; let them know what’s working and what’s not! Be patient-major change can be a slow process! Ask questions about any part of your therapist’s process that you don’t understand. Follow through on lifestyle changes you and your therapist talked about.
What are some typical outcomes?
Reduction or elimination of symptoms associated with mental health issues. Alteration of behaviors that worsen mental health problems such as depression or anxiety. Improved feelings of connection to others, especially those closest to you such as family, spouse, or friends. Enjoy greater comfort in your identity and relationships.
