Life can bring many challenges and the road to success is often full of trying lessons. So it’s understandable that at trying times we might look for support in facing them, as putting off a challenge doesn’t make it go away.
Welcome, I have been practising as a therapist in Greater London for over 10 years. I am committed to providing Counselling & Psychotherapy in a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space.
ABOUT MY SERVICE
My approach to therapy is Integrative, it allows me to draw from a range of approaches to locate the root cause of your problems and identify your particular way(s) of thinking.
I work with individuals, couples, and organisations long-term or (time-limited) for an agreed shorter period of time; I provide clear methods and strategies with the aim of empowering clients to improve their lives and to live it more fulfilled.
WHAT CLIENTS CAN EXPECT
Some people come to counselling because they are just curious and want to understand themselves better, whereas the majority of clients come because they want to change something in their lives but are often unsure of how to change it.
Depending on what you would like help with, I work in different ways to resolve the concern.
- Integratively - means you are not limited to one type of Therapy that may or not suit you.
- Exploratory - gives you a greater understanding of the way(s) you process your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
- Structurally - focusing on specific small measurable goals to aid your growth and self-development.
- Free resources - in the form of worksheets are sometimes given as homework in-between sessions to increase your growth and Self-development.
My interest in counselling stems in part from a very positive personal experience I had, during long-term Psychodynamic psychotherapy, that began after the breakdown of a long-term relationship which left me with more questions than answers. I originally arranged to have counselling hoping for some growth and insight into what had gone wrong with my relationship.
I had always been interested in mental health after witnessing a relative suffer from bi-polar yet manage to work a 9-5 job and live alone with the help of talking therapy and medication.
In 2009, after working in the construction industry for 13-years, I decided to re-train to become a psychotherapist and embarked on a journey of self-discovery and growth studying Psychology and Counselling.
I now know as a trained therapist, the self-awareness I gained from long-term personal therapy was essential training to be able to work safely and ethically with clients.
I completed my training in 2014 as an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and since that time, I've worked with clients, who have suffered from acute emotional and behavioural problems.
