Welcome, my name is Junior and I have been practising as a therapist in Greater London for over 10 years. I am committed to providing Counselling & Psychotherapy in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.
I work with individuals, couples and families on a long term basis and for an agreed shorter period of time with the aim of enabling you to improve your life and to live it more fulfilled.
Maybe you have been thinking about starting counselling for some time but feel vulnerable. You know you might have to talk about things you’ve kept hidden and feel shame, well it is not weak to seek therapy; it can help you to understand why you feel the way you do and work to break free from it.
The fear of feeling weak is arguably one of the most common fears; it’s ultimately a fear of exposure/rejection. Often people experiencing it have an overwhelming belief that they as opposed to their actions or feelings are bad.
My interest in counselling stems in part from a very positive personal experience I had, during long-term Psychodynamic psychotherapy, that began after the breakdown of a long-term relationship which left me with more questions than answers. I originally arranged to have counselling hoping for some growth and insight into what had gone wrong with my relationship.
I had always been interested in mental health after witnessing a relative suffer from bi-polar yet manage to work a 9-5 job and live alone with the help of talking therapy and medication.
In 2009, after working in the construction industry for 13-years, I decided to re-train to become a psychotherapist and embarked on a journey of self-discovery and growth studying Psychology and Counselling.
I now know as a trained therapist, the self-awareness I gained from long-term personal therapy was essential training to be able to work safely and ethically with clients.
I completed my training in 2014 as an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and since that time, I've worked with clients, who have suffered from acute emotional and behavioural problems.
How can I help?
I offer a confidential, non-judgmental space that supports clients in making better sense of how they think, feel and act in a safe nurturing environment. Therapy is conducted online or face to face and is either short-term up to 6 sessions or longer-term 6-20+ sessions for more in-depth work.
I am qualified and experienced in Counselling & Psychotherapy with a range of clinical experience working with clients/patients within organisations such as the NHS, Prisons, Black Minds Matter and Youth Offenders Institutions.Click here to read what clients have said.
Also, I am a member of the (UK Council for Psychotherapy) and the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) which means I'm compelled by their code of conduct and ethics to work professionally within their Ethical framework to a high standard.
We specialize in helping clients who have had difficulties with:
- Stress & Anxiety
- Identity & Cultural concerns
- Relationships & Sexual concerns / Infidelity
